Mortgage Rate Outlook: Float
Interest rates will be slightly down today, as the stock markets show strong gains.
There is no relevant economic data reported today, and the stock market gains are the only factor influencing today’s mortgage rates. There is no relevant data scheduled for release today.

Bonds are down today but rates will likely stay unchanged today due to yesterday’s market strength.ÂÂ
Higher than expected unemployment claims were posted this morning by the Labor Department. This is good news for mortgage rates, but not significant news since it only covers a week period of time.
