Bonds Up at Start of Holiday Week

Bonds are up today, despite slightly better than expected economic news.
Despite an interrupted week due to the Independence Day holiday, Friday’s Employment Report is probably the most important report on schedule for the month of July.
Today’s ISM report showed us that manufacturing activity was higher than expected. The market shrugged this off with bonds remaining up in morning trading.
