Rates Continue to Climb
6 March 2008Mortgage rates were up almost .25 to rate today compared with yesterday. The sell off in bonds continued from yesterday afternoon.
The focus is now on Friday’s February Employment Report from the Labor Department. The market has priced in weak results, and stronger than expected results could cause rates to quickly rise.

Rates Unchanged Ending Another Volatile Week
1 February 2008Mixed economic news has left mortgage rates unchanged today.
The Department of Labor released the Employment Report for January, showing an unexpected increase in new jobs, as well as an unexpected increase in jobless claims.  The net result was a flat market reaction.
