Rates Mostly Flat

Ratesﾃつ are flat or slightly up today over yesterday based on yesterday afternoon’s bond weakness.ﾃつ ﾃつ The Labor Department posted Unemployment Claims for last week today which were higher than expected.ﾃつ This was the only report related to mortgage rates out today.ﾃつ ﾃつ Typically this report has little to no effect on mortgage rates as it represents only a week’s worth of data.
ﾃつ There is no information due out tomorrow, so unless we see stock market or other surprises, rates should be relatively stable.ﾃつ More reports and activity is due up next week.
