Rates Up On Stock Market Strength

Rates were up again today after the stock market realized early gains.ﾃつ Mortgage rates should increase today by at least .25 to the points as compared with yesterday.
Tomorrow we can look forward to the January CPI report, as well as January Housing Starts and the Minutes from the last FOMC Meeting.ﾃつ Of the three reports, the CPI is the most important as it measures inflation from the consumer sector of the economy.ﾃつ ﾃつ The FOMC minutes could also add volatility if they show new bias on the part of the Fed towards interest rate policy.
